Dottie Alexander, a longtime student at Ballroom Magic, passed away suddenly Sept. 27, 2013. Dottie was an amazing individual and a student with whom I had been acquainted for more than 37 years. Dancing at age 91 is a goal we should all try to attain. She truly was an advocate of dancing and always attributed her longevity to her enjoyment of ballroom dancing. This is why she was frequently referred to as "The Queen of the Ballroom."

She will be tremendously missed.

SENIOR SPECIAL !
Beginning August 7, 2013, Ballroom Magic Dance Studio will begin hosting the Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors ballroom dance class at our studio and it will be offered to any senior 55 years of age and older. 

Since the sale of Alexian Brothers, the class will no longer be offered to the community as a service for senior activity. I have been teaching this class for the past four years and have seen it thrive from a beginning class into an intermediate level class. I look forward to being able to bring this class to Ballroom Magic where it will be offered to any person 55 years of age and older.
It is suggested that any new person interested in becoming part of this class have a basic understanding of ballroom dancing prior to joining this intermediate level class. We have classes for all levels of dancers available here at Ballroom Magic. If you want to join the senior class but do not have the necessary experience, you can obtain the experience in our Newcomer Class. 
The Senior class is based on a 10 week series of classes usually working on one dance. The cost is $70.00 for the series and it meets each Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the studio.  A great bargain at only $7.00 per class.
